Two people, one room
Most master baths are used by two people at the same time, often in a hurry. Double vanities, separated storage and a shower that does not block the walkway are not luxuries here, they are what makes the room usable on a weekday morning.
Storage that hides the clutter
A calm bathroom is usually a bathroom with enough concealed storage. Drawer banks beat cabinet doors for everything except towels, and a vanity planned around what actually lives in the room will always beat one chosen from a photograph.
Materials that age well
Bathrooms are wet, warm and heavily used. Countertop material, tile choice and cabinet construction all need to be judged on how they will look in ten years, not on the day they go in. Our designers will tell you honestly which finishes need looking after and which ones forgive neglect.
Visit a showroom to see and handle the samples. Tile and stone are very difficult to judge on a screen.
